Celebrate Bethesda Restaurant Week with Mexican Newcomer Buena Vida

Buena Vida, the newly opened Mexican concept located at 8407 Ramsey Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, will celebrate Bethesda Restaurant Week by offering guests an endless selection of Mexican fare prepared by Brand Chef Graham Bartlett. Dishes showcase traditional flavors from all the corners of Mexico, from coastal cuisine to the interior - and provides a fun and modern approach, designed for sharing a variety of flavors. Diners can look forward to unlimited small plates reflecting the signature dishes of Mexico priced at $22 per person during lunch service, and $35 per person during dinner service (tax and gratuity not included.) Bethesda Restaurant Week will run from August 10 through August 19.

The lunch menu offers an array of ceviche, salads, soups, quesadillas, tortas, tacos, and signature chef’s creations. Menu highlights include the Fingerling Sweet Potato Tostones with hazelnut-ancho salsa, orange mojo and cocoa nibs; Fried North Carolina Shrimp Tacos with avocado-salsa verde, lemon-garlic mayo and pickled cabbage; Crispy Tofu Tacos with avocado, pickled chile, chile morita mayo and cilantro; Chicken Tinga Tostada with Locust Point Farm roasted chicken, tomato, onion, Little Gem lettuce, crema and cotija; Crab Nachos with corn tortilla chips, black bean purée, chihuahua cheese sauce, rajas and pickled chilies, as well as the Heirloom Tomato Ceviche with “leche de tomate”, hearts of palm, red onion, olive, lemon balm and pepita.


For dinner, guests can enjoy unlimited small plates from Buena Vida’s featured dinner menu, which includes over 40 dishes to share and taste. Standout dishes include the Mezcal Cured Salmon Tostada with avocado salsa verde, smoked trout roe, cucumber and Serrano; Sweet Corn Empanadas, handmade with organic corn masa, guacamole, Oaxaca cheese, corn rajas and garlic-guajillo salsa; Squash Blossom Quesadilla with flour tortilla and Oaxacan cheese; Sangrita Mariscada Tostada with shrimp, crab, spicy tomato and guacamole; Roasted Chicken Adobado with bacon, white charro beans, Swiss chard and pepitas, and the Duck Carnitas with orange, pickled cabbage and a chile ancho-hazelnut salsa.

Buena Vida is located at 8407 Ramsey Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20910, just steps from the Silver Spring metro accessible on the Red Line. Parking is available in the Bonifant-Dixon Parking Garage. Fees apply Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 7 PM. The garage is located at 1101 Bonifant Street. Buena Vida is open for lunch Monday through Friday, from 11 AM to 2 PM and dinner Sunday through Thursday, from 4 PM to 10 PM; Friday and Saturday, from 4 PM to 11 PM.
