Child Justice, Inc., announced today that singing legend Johnny Mathis will appear and perform at the nonprofit’s 4th Annual Heroes of Child Justice Event next month in the nation’s capital. The goal of the event is raise funds in support of Child Justice’s life saving programs, which  protect children “lost in the system” after exposure to family violence, physical/sexual abuse, substance addictions or neglect.

Charitybuzz Auction Begins January 6th and Continues through February for Valentine’s Day and Black History Month

Focus Features, in its ongoing support of the ACLU on behalf of the Golden Globe-nominated film LOVING, has announced today that they are kicking off the new year with the “We Stand for Love” online auction, with proceeds benefiting the ACLU of Southern California. Hosted by Charitybuzz and going live today (www.charitybuzz.com/LOVING-ACLU), the auction features donations from cast, filmmakers and supporters of the critically acclaimed film. The fundraising initiative is a rolling auction that runs through February to encompass both Valentine’s Day and Black History Month. New items will be added throughout the auction run period. The Ronald Reagan Building and Trade Center Management Associates hosts the party of the season

The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) and the organization who manages it, Trade Center Management Associates, will be hosting the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s signature Pink Tie Party fundraiser this year on March 18th. Marking the official start to the cherry blossom season, this event will feature music, dancing, cocktails, delicious fare from the Reagan Building’s Executive Chef Xavier Deshayes and some of DC’s hottest restaurants, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event benefit the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s year-round programs, events, and education initiatives that enhance our environment, showcase arts and culture, and build community spirit.

The 59th Potomac Country House Tour & Festival (PCHT&F) takes place on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Saint Francis Episcopal Church, 10033 River Road, Potomac, MD. Four exceptional homes in the Potomac, Maryland-area are featured on the House Tour, which runs from 1-4 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The homes include the Hye Land House, Villa dei Leoni, English Country Manor House, and Holiday Carriage House. All proceeds from the nonprofit (501c3) Potomac Country House Tour are distributed to help fund mostly local programs addressing homelessness, hunger, children and women’s issues, and elderly care.
