Summer Wine Dinner

Warm weather vintages paired with the perfect dishes

Chef/owners Christophe and Michelle Poteaux of Bastille are feeling the heat. It’s summer. To that end, they’ve put together a dinner featuring a menu of summer dishes paired with wines that are perfect for warmer weather. On July 24th, 2019 beginning at 6:30 PM, Bastille presents a five-course $59 prix fixe Summer Wine Dinner. Taxes & gratuities are not included.

The menu begins with an Amuse Bouche of marinated sardines, with fennel and cherry tomatoes paired with Aviva Vino, Vinho Verde 2018 - Portugal; followed by Salade de Crabe - crab and heirloom tomato salad, fennel and basil paired with Les Vignobles Foncalieu, Les Petits Roucas, VDP d’OC 2018 - France (Sauvignon Blanc); Brochettes - grilled peppered pork and vegetables kabob with spicy Romesco sauce paired with Gerberas, Garnacha 2017 - Spain (100% Grenache); Gigot d’Agneau - grilled leg of lamb with eggplant, zucchini, pepper and arugula paired with Kiona Vineyards, Lemberger Estate Red Mountain 2016 - Washington (US/Lemberger) and for dessert, Chevre - goat cheese profiterole and strawberries paired with Los Monteros, Cava Brut Rose (Garnacha.) 

Crisp whites and rosés make for excellent summer drinking, as are lighter fruity reds, which pair so well with grilled meats.

Bastille is open for dinner on Monday at 5 pm, for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 AM until 10 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM until 9 PM, serving brunch, lunch, dinner and all day dining with café and bar menu offered.
