Yes Way Rosé at Bastille

From our friends at Bastille Restaurant & Wine Bar...

Rosé All Day

Five courses paired with wonderful Rosé wines

The weather has turned warmer and that can only mean one thing: It’s Rosé season! On June 19, beginning at 6:30 PM, Chef/Owners Christophe & Michelle Poteaux of Bastille are pouring just that. The $69 prix fixe menu includes the best of the pink nectar, paired with dishes that truly make this vintage shine.

The dinner begins with an Amuse Bouche of French radish, butter, sea salt and baguette toast, served with Perela, Cava Brut Rosé, SP; followed by Charcuterie Coppa with lemon-ricotta, honey and  strawberry with Leone de Castris, Five Rosés Rosato, 2018 IT. The next course is Plancha - Chorizo rillettes, shrimp and garbanzo salad with Bodegas Muga, Rioja Flor de Muga Rosé 2016, SP (100% Grenache); followed by a main course of Magret Grille - grilled Moullard duck breast with charred leeks, trumpet mushrooms, fresh berries and jus de caisson with Willamette Valley Vineyards, Rosé of Pinot Noir Whole Cluster 2018 OR (100% Pinot Noir.) For dessert, Chef Michelle presents Sabayon - peach compote, fresh raspberry, sabayon and toasted almonds with Mas de Daumas Gassac, Rosé Frizant 2017 FR (Pinot Noir, Gamay.)

Rosé wines can be made still, semi-sparkling or sparkling and with a wide range of sweetness levels from highly dry Provençal rosé to sweet White Zinfandels and blushes. Rosé wines are made from a wide variety of grapes and can be found all around the globe.

Bastille is open for dinner on Monday at 5 pm, for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 AM until 10 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM until 9 PM, serving brunch, lunch, dinner and all day dining with café and bar menu offered. The restaurant is located in The Asher at 606 N. Fayette Street in Alexandria, VA, just two blocks from the Braddock Metro.
