Authentic Brazilian steakhouse debuts elevated bar experience and al fresco dining
Leading Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão announces its newest location will open on Monday, June 24, at the Pike & Rose neighborhood.
Located on the corner of Grand Park Ave and Old Georgetown Road, the restaurant seats approximately 300 guests, and features an open churrasco grill, white Carrera Market Table, a lively bar area and open-air patio space with Bar Fogo menu offerings. Upon entering the restaurant’s panoramic dining room guests can expect to see elegant private dining spaces along with a signature bas-relief interpretation of Antonio Carigni’s 16-foot O’Laçador statue, the embodiment of the gaucho culture.
“This year marks our 40th anniversary with the opening of our 41st U.S. location in North Bethesda. Our steady growth is a testament to the appeal of our unique concept, high quality hospitality and thoughtful innovation to our new and loyal guests.” said Barry McGowan, Chief Executive Officer of Fogo de Chão. “With our authentic Southern Brazilian culture and cuisine, guests can expect to receive the same experience here in North Bethesda that they would at any of our locations in Brazil.”
The Fogo North Bethesda culinary team is led by General Manager and Head Gaucho Chef Moises Lopes. About Fogo de Chão:
Fogo de Chão (fogo-dee-shown) is a leading Brazilian steakhouse, or churrascaria, specializing in the centuries-old Southern Brazilian cooking technique of churrasco - the art of roasting high-quality cuts of meats over open flame, all of which are carved tableside by Brazilian-trained gaucho chefs. Founded in Southern Brazil in 1979, there are currently 54 locations throughout Brazil, the United States, Mexico, and the Middle East.
Fogo’s distinctive and authentic Brazilian dining experience begins with the seasonal Market Table and Feijoada Bar, which includes seasonal salads, soup, fresh vegetables, imported charcuterie and more. The restaurant features a variety of simply seasoned meats that are fire-roasted by gaucho chefs, plus seafood, desserts, signature cocktails and an award-winning wine list. In addition to the full churrasco experience, Fogo offers its guests multiple ways to enjoy the experience at varying price points, including weekday lunch starting at $15, weekend Brazilian Brunch and a newly enhanced Bar Fogo menu that features smaller, sharable plates, Brazilian-inspired cocktails and happy hour.
