March 9th is National Crab Meat Day.  Aside from their legendary Chesapeake Crab Cakes and Lump Blue Crab, Oceanaire is celebrating by adding a comfort food menu item, Crab Mashed Potatoes.

This rich and delicious concoction is a blend of truffled whipped potatoes, topped with succulent chunks of Alaskan King Crab and Old Bay Butter ($29) - perfect for a delicious meal that warms the belly and pays homage to this popular crustacean.

Observed annually on March 9th, National Crab Meat Day (also National Crabmeat Day) is an American food holiday. This day is for all crab meat lovers to celebrate their favorite crustacean. There are 1.5 million tons of crab consumed every year around the world.
