Mexican Newcomer Buena Vida Debuts Unlimited Weekend Brunch Service June 2

Ivan Iricanin, founder and CEO of Street Guys Hospitality, is pleased to announce the introduction of unlimited weekend brunch service at his newest venture, Buena Vida, located at 8407 Ramsey Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910. The Buena Vida Brunch Experience will debut Saturday, June 2 and will be available Saturday and Sunday, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Priced at $35 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) guests can enjoy an endless selection of Mexican fare prepared by Chef de Cuisine Graham Bartlett. Dishes showcase traditional flavors from all the corners of Mexico, and incorporate cage-free eggs and meats primarily sourced from Amish farmers along with local seafood from the Chesapeake. The Buena Vida Brunch Experience must be ordered by the entire table. Dishes will also be available a la carte with prices ranging from $2.50 to $12 each.

One can begin their meal with a selection of starters, guacamoles, and eggs & such. Standouts include the Traditional Guacamole with avocado, tomato onion, cilantro, and lime; Yucatan Guacamole with pickled mango, goat cheese, and basil; Jicama & Green Apple Salad with heirloom carrot, chayote, and grapefruit; Breakfast Quesadilla with house-cured bacon, egg, poblano, Oaxaca cheese, crema, and pico de gallo; Huevos Rancheros with soft corn tortilla, sunny side up egg, avocado, panela cheese, black bean puree, and pico de gallo; Sopes de Chorizo Benedict with organic masa cornmeal cake, house-made Cheshire Farms pork chorizo, poached egg, and creamy salsa verde; Arroz Frito Con Huevo, Mexican fried rice with scrambled egg, chicken, ham, corn, and green bean cilantro, as well as Spicy Crab and Egg Enchiladas with corn, poblano, scallion, and three chile salsa.


A number of Chef Specials will also be available and include Albondigas with Roseda Farms dry aged beef meatballs, chile morita tomato sauce, and almond; Potato & Oaxaca Cheese Flautas with black bean purée, rajas, cabbage slaw, verde and roja salsas, and cotija cheese; Trompo Taco Hash with spit roasted pork al pastor, new potato, poblano, scallion poached egg, and salsa verde; Chilaquiles with corn tortilla chips, fried egg, salsa verde, Oaxaca and cotija cheeses, crema fresca, and pickled red onion; Shrimp & House-Made Chorizo Grits with roasted poblano, tomato, scallion, and poached egg, as well as Crispy Pork Chop “Milanesa” with tomato, avocado, morita mayo, and lemon.

Guests can also enjoy a selection of Tacos & Tortas such as Heirloom Carrot Tacos with cotija cheese, garlic, and guajillo salsa roja; Mushroom Tacos with cotija cheese, scallion, and salsa verde; Chorizo con Huevo y Papa Tacos with house-made Cheshire farms pork sausage, scrambled egg, and potato; Carne con Huevo y Queso Tacos with steak and chihuahua cheese; Egg & Avocado BLT Torta with house-cured bacon, sunny side up egg, lettuce, tomato, and morita mayo; Ham & Cheese Torta with gruyere and Oaxaca cheese, guacamole, black bean, and salsa morita; Ahogada Torta with pork carnitas, onion, and spicy tomato sauce. For a sweet finish, one can enjoy Mexican confections such as Buñuelos, a cinnamon sugar cracker with cajeta, a Mexican caramel sauce; Fruit Salad with shaved fresh coconut, and Mexican Chocolate Cupcakes with candy sprinkles.

For the perfect pairing, brunch-goers can indulge in specialty brunch cocktails such as House Mimosas with sparkling wine and your choice of flavor including traditional, mango, or strawberry; Bloody Mary with vodka and Buena Vida's signature bloody Mary mix; Bloody Maria with blanco tequila and Buena Vida's signature bloody Mary mix; TTT Margarita with blanco tequila, agave, and lime; Michelada with beer, sangrita, and tamarind-chili; White Sangria with sauvignon blanc, cantaloupe, mango, grapes, and peach liqueur, and Red Sangria with cabernet sauvignon, pomegranate, mandarin, grape, and orange liqueur. Cocktails are priced from $8 to $9 each.

Buena Vida is located at 8407 Ramsey Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20910, just steps from the Silver Spring metro accessible on the Red Line. Parking is available in the Bonifant-Dixon Parking Garage. Fees apply Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 7 PM. The garage is located at 1101 Bonifant Street. Buena Vida is open for lunch Monday through Friday, from 11 AM to 2 PM and dinner Sunday through Thursday, from 4 PM to 10 PM; Friday and Saturday, from 4 PM to 11 PM.
