Local Teen Angel Project (TAP) Announces Wings! 2015 Gala to Benefit Teen/Tween Dance Efforts for Community Organizations

Teen Angel Project (TAP) has donated more than 3,000 community service hours in performances at local hospitals, homeless shelters, nursing homes, and more. They are raising awareness and funds for their community-based service projects at their Annual Wings! 2015 Gala. This year, TAP will award its First Annual “Wings Award” to a local 89-year-old who has inspired the next generation of performers. The recipient, Gemma Adami, 89, a Silver Spring resident at Grace House, is a retired Italian opera singer and will sing "Ave Maria."

Note: In addition to the talented line-up of 30 teen/tween performers, this year’s GALA will include a special performance by Sherwood High School Junior Haley Stuart, an upcoming recipient of the 2015 Soroptimist International of Upper Montgomery County, MD (SIUMC) Violet Richardson Award (VRA) for her volunteer work with the Teen Angel Project.
