Nopa Kitchen + Bar Debuts New Lunch Specials

Nopa Kitchen + Bar, Ashok Bajaj’s American brasserie located in the heart of Penn Quarter at 800 F Street, NW, 20004, is pleased to announce the addition of two new fixed price, affordable lunch specials, available Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 3 PM. The menu at Nopa showcases garden fresh vegetables, select meats and fish prepared with a touch of French influence by newly appointed Executive Chef Matt Kuhn. The new lunch additions invite guests to choose a soup and sandwich off the featured menu for $17 per person, or those with a little bit more time during lunch can select a soup or salad, entrée and seasonal sorbet for just $32 per person (tax and gratuity not included.)

Standout soup and sandwich options on the new spring menu include the Fried Skate Sandwich with watermelon radish, bread & butter pickled and remoulade; Nopa Burger with house-made pimento cheese "whiz," Applewood smoked bacon, served with fries; Portobello Cheesesteak with onion jam and Piquillo peppers; Pulled Pork & Fried Oyster Po’boy with romaine, pickled rhubarb and bacon-horseradish aioli, and the Celery Root and Parsnip Soup with poached lobster, smoked olive oil and black truffle.

Tempting entrée and salad options available on nopa’s three-course lunch menu include Kale-Beef Confit Salad with feta cheese, dried cranberries, crispy chickpeas and minus 8 vinaigrette; Shrimp Spinach Salad with mushrooms and a black truffle vinaigrette; Chilean Sea Bass with baby bok choy, charred eggplant purée and a carrot-ginger vinaigrette; Beef Coulotte Steak Frites with crispy fingerlings, Winterbor kale and a smoked blue cheese sauce; Farro & Black Quinoa Risotto with pea shoot pesto, spring onions, asparagus, English peas, beet purée and pecorino, as well as a Beef Short Rib Cassoulet with cranberry beans, pancetta, cipollini onions, potato dumplings and red wine jus.

Hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday, from 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM; Thursday and Friday, from 11:30 AM to 11 PM; Saturday, from 5 PM to 11 PM, and Sunday, from 11 AM to 9:30 PM.
