The 2014 Arabian Sights Audience Award was presented to GHADI (Lebanon) directed by Amin Dora. Mr. Dora was delighted with the news and stated, "It was a wonderful experience to be in Washington, DC and meeting the beautiful audience. Winning the Arabian Sights Audience Award means a lot to me and I look forward to return with my second film." GHADI is also selected as Lebanon's entry to the Academy Awards.

The 19th annual Arabian Sights Film Festival wrapped up on November 9 with a sold-out crowd for the closing film Certified Halal (Algeria/France.) Director Mahmoud Zemmouri and producer Marie-Laurence Attias were present to greet the audience and discuss the film following the screening. The festival concluded with a closing night reception, where Algerian wine and sweets were offered, courtesy of the Embassy of Algeria.

The Arabian Sights Film Festival enjoyed a huge success this year with a total attendance of 2,000.
