Hoyas Host Syracuse in Soccer Sweet 16

Orange F Louis Clark celebrates last week's GW goal

We're just days away from December, but soccer is still being played in the nation's capital (and sorry, it's not DC United.) The Georgetown Hoyas, seeded third overall, host the Syracuse Orange this afternoon in a third round NCAA tournament battle at North Kehoe Field. Kickoff is at 1:00 PM.

Syracuse (14-6) defeated VCU last Sunday 3-2 in double overtime, to advance to today's game vs. Georgetown. Earlier in the day, the Hoyas edged last year's tournament runner-up UNC Charlotte 1-0 on freshman sensation Brandon Allen's goal with less than three minutes remaining in the first half. Today's game marks the first time the Hoyas have advanced to the third round in the NCAAs: A win will establish a new team record for victories in a single season (19.)

Come early and dress warm (temperatures are supposed to be in the low 40's.) Tickets are still only $5 (available at gate.) Georgetown students get in free by flashing their GOCard.
