The UDC men's basketball team gets a jump start on their 2012-13 season tomorrow afternoon, hosting Chesapeake College in an afternoon scrimmage at the UDC Sports Complex. The Firebirds finished 22-6 last season and made its first NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 25 years.
Jeff Ruland returns for his fourth year as head coach. The Firebirds will host 12 home games, including tomorrow's scrimmage and a date with crosstown rival Bowie State on December 12th. Tickets for individual games cost $5. Season ticket packages are available for just $95. Order here. Kids 8 & under as well as UDC faculty and students get in free; Seniors 60+ and military can enter for $2.
