UDC Blanks Felician 3-0 in Home Finale

Adriel Garcia (11) celebrates his seventh goal of the season

UDC finished its home schedule in fine fashion this afternoon, posting a 3-0 shutout over Felician College (5-10-2) in front of an announced crowd of 100 (where's the student support?) The win improves the Firebirds' record to 6-8-2 overall and an impressive 5-2 at home. UDC has one game left on its schedule, at ECC newcomer Robert Wesleyan Sunday at 2:00 PM.

Senior Adriel Garcia scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season at 21:28 of the first half, to put UDC up 1-0. The score remained 1-0 until sophomore Ben Diaz took a pass from Garcia and scored, increasing the lead to 2-0. Frosh forward Moussa Traore added a goal in the final minute to cap the scoring. Diaz assisted on both goals, accounting for four points (1 goal, 2 assists.) Despite losing Garcia and three other seniors to graduation, UDC looks stacked for next season. Here's hoping for big crowds  (did I mention the games are free?) and even bigger wins.
