Celebrate the Holidays at National Harbor

Santa and Performers on Saturdays, Beginning November 12 through December 23
Holiday activities at National Harbor begin on November 12 at 2 PM with a host of holiday activities on the waterfront (150 National Plaza, National Harbor, MD 20745) including Santa’s Frosty Follies, Card Making for Our Deployed Troops, a 3 PM holiday movie, dog pictures with Santa and chances to meet Santa at the Carousel. The Radio King Orchestra plays at 5:30 PM and the tree lighting ceremony starts at 6:30 PM, followed by fireworks. The tree lighting ceremony is presented by DARCARS.

Josh Phillips and his team at Espita Mezcaleria, the Southern Mexican-inspired restaurant located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC, invite guests to take part in one of Mexico’s great traditions, The Day of the Dead. From October 2nd through November 2nd, 2017, Espita Mezcaleria will offer a variety of specialty dishes & drinks throughout the month of October including Mole Negro, Pan de Muerto, and El Mezonte, a house-made Mezcal & Cynar flip cocktail made with activated charcoal. A series of events will also be available for guests throughout the month including a mezcal tasting, sugar skull painting, mole negro cooking demo and a puppy costume contest.

Man’s best friend has reason to celebrate with a refreshing visit to Macon Bistro & Larder for cooling popsicles made with both dogs and their companions of all ages in mind
Macon Bistro & Larder, the French and Southern-inspired bistro located at 5520 Connecticut Avenue, NW, is pleased to debut a new “Yappy Hour” for pups and their human companions, available now through September 3rd, every Saturday from 12 PM to 4 PM, exclusively on the front outdoor patio. Guests and their dogs can cool off with three drool-worthy frozen popsicles created by dog lovers, Macon’s General Manager Andra 'AJ' Johnson and Owner/Executive Chef Tony Brown. The restaurant will also offer $6 house red and white wine, $6 beer, and complimentary dog treats for Yappy Hour. Popsicles range in price from $3 for the canine variety to $7 for the adult-friendly flavors.
