I’m a proponent of going to the movies to escape reality. @searchlightpics’ Is This Thing On? delivers a powerful dose of depression & sadness, soaked in America’s favorite pastime… divorce/separation. All that’s missing is a subplot centered around open-mic comedy and Peyton Manning (as a rebound guy.) Sadly, this movie has all of the above, across 2 of the longest hours of your life. No thanks.
Grade: D (for downright disappointing.)
