Monumental Sports Network to Broadcast 10 GW Basketball Games in 2024-25

Raise High at GW Coaches Show to return for fifth season

GW Athletics, in conjunction with Monumental Sports & Entertainment, announced today that it will continue its exciting partnership for the 2024-25 basketball seasons with 10 home men's and women's basketball games airing to the more than three million subscribers on Monumental Sports Network this season.

In addition, the Raise High at GW Coaches Show will return for a fifth season, airing on Monumental Sports Network every other Saturday during the course of the season. The first episode is scheduled to air on Saturday, November 2.

The voice of the Revolutionaries, Byron Kerr, will return to provide play-by-play coverage of all home men's basketball games and will once again be joined on the call by former Siena and Loyola (Md.) head coach and Monumental basketball contributor Jimmy Patsos. Women's basketball alumna and multi-time A-10 Champion Camila Tapias will return in her role as analyst for select women's basketball broadcasts.

"We are excited to continue our partnership with Monumental Sports, providing added visibility for our George Washington community this basketball season," said GW Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Lipitz. "This showcase for our university and student-athletes on the premier regional sports platform in the DMV highlights the tremendous atmosphere of the Smith Center and the passion our Buff & Blue community has for its men's and women's basketball programs."

In total, Monumental will air six men's basketball games and four women's basketball contests on its network in addition to at least 10 episodes of the Raise High at GW Coaches Show. The network is the exclusive local television media rights holder for the NHL's Washington Capitals, NBA's Washington Wizards and WNBA's Washington Mystics and also boasts the most comprehensive regional high school and collegiate sports programming in the greater Washington D.C. metro area.

"As the premier broadcaster for live, local sports in the DMV region, continuing our partnership with George Washington is a natural fit," said Caitlin Mangum, Vice President, Content & Programming, Monumental Sports Network. "We are proud to showcase their men's and women's basketball programs on our network this year and are looking forward to an exciting season."

All home game tip-off times have been announced for the 2024-25 men's and women's basketball season. In addition, single-game and season tickets for the 2024-25 GW men's and women's basketball campaigns are currently on sale through the GW Athletics Ticket Office (202-99-GWTIX or tickets@gwu.edu).

GW fans can get in the game by supporting NIL opportunities for Buff & Blue student-athletes through contributions to the Friends of George Collective. Fans can also directly support through donations to the Buff & Blue Fund.
