The Catholic University women's lacrosse team was ranked at No. 10 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Preseason Poll.

Earlier this month, the Cardinals were ranked at No. 11 in the US Lacrosse Division III Women's Preseason Top 20 Poll.

Despite being limited to just three games due to COVID last year, the Cardinals were ranked at No. 10 in the final IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll for the fourth time in the last six years.

Catholic finished the shortened 2020 season with a 3-0 record and has won six-straight regular season contests. The team is also 7-0 at Carlini Field after posting an 18-6 win over Rowan on February 29, 2020 in its only home game last season.

The Cardinals will be looking for their seventh-straight Landmark Conference championship in 2021 and their 12th in the 13 year that league has awarded a champion. They have also made 11 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship appearances.

The Landmark Conference is expected to release the league's 2021 schedule later this spring.
