Park View Farmers Market, (www.Parkview.market) a year-round Sunday market, opened January 12, 2020 at Hook Hall, 3400 Georgia Avenue, NW. Operating from 9 AM until 2 PM, Park View Farmers Market, a first for this neighborhood, connects local farmers, growers and producers to local consumers in the Park View, Petworth, Columbia Heights and surrounding communities.
Park View Farmers Market has the largest meat and seafood counter in Northwest DC, and will grow to more than 30 vendors who represent some of the best farmers, growers and producers in the region. Vendors have been carefully curated for the dedication they demonstrate in connecting people to healthier food.

WashFarm Markets, founded by the wife and husband team of Michelle Harburg and Chuck Brodsky, was created to address the challenge of bringing local food to local consumers in the Park View neighborhood. WashFarm Markets is proud to deliver its first farmers market, Park View Farmers Market.
Michelle and Chuck are decades-long residents of Washington, DC. When not at the market or on a run, they enjoy cooking and spending time with their toddler and two kittens, Kitty Gaga and Catley Cooper.
Michelle’s great-grandfather, Yip Harburg, once said, “I left the dream of business for the business of dreams.” He was speaking about his decision to leave a business in electronics and pursue his dream of songwriting. He then went on to write 500+ songs including the scores for “Wizard of Oz” and “Finnian’s Rainbow”, classics like “Brother Can You Spare a Dime” and many Broadway show songs. Michelle and Chuck were inspired by Yip’s example to follow their passion for eating local and building community by leaving their traditional careers and founding Park View Farmers market together.
