Dirty Habit Welcomes Allison Balanc as December Artist-in-Residence for Live Music Series, 'Green Room at Hotel Monaco'

Tuesday nights feature acclaimed singer songwriter, global cuisine, and handcrafted cocktails in Penn Quarter

Dirty Habit, in collaboration with Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC welcomes Allison Balanc, a native Washingtonian neo-soul singer and songwriter for “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” on December 3, 10, and 17. The live music series features local musicians on Tuesday nights from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Guests can relish the show in the hotel’s emerald green living room-style lobby while enjoying bites from Dirty Habit’s Executive Chef Kyoo Eom and cocktails from Beverage Manager Drew Hairston. The series is open to the public and free to attend. The Tuesday evening performances continue to entertain Penn Quarter neighbors, fans heading to the Capital One Arena on game nights, and anyone looking to catch live music before dinner at Dirty Habit.

Balanc is a classically trained vocalist who has won several talent contests including “Neyo’s Talent Search.” She signed with the Grammy-award-winning label Compound Entertainment, and in 2017, released her first solo album, “Lost and Found.” Balanc is currently working on her second album, which is set to be released by the end of 2019. Drawing inspiration from jazz, soul, early 90s hip-hop and R&B, she will blend these genres to provide a sultry soundtrack to the live Tuesday music series on December 3, 10 and 17. There will be no “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” performances on December 24 or December 31.

The “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” menu features Dirty Habit favorites such as tuna tataki ($17), American wagyu tartare ($18), and the restaurant’s popular truffle fries ($13.) The bar menu offers a seasonal selection of Dirty Habit’s handcrafted cocktails including the Rice ‘N RosesDH Old Fashioned, and Negroni ($12-14.)
