Eat Early, Eat Well, Eat for $10 with Mintwood Place’s Newly Expanded Bar Menu
The expanded bar menu includes new additions such as Campfire Mountain Pies
Mintwood Place, a charming neighborhood brasserie, located at 1813 Columbia Road, NW, Washington, DC 20009, invites guests to relax after work with its newly expanded bar menu. This intimate Adams Morgan bistro is a cozy setting to enjoy a glass of wine along with new French-inspired bar fare created by Chef de Cuisine Matthew Cockrell and Pastry Chef Stephanie Milne. Happy hour specials are available Tuesday through Friday, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Saturday, from 5:30 PM to 7 PM, and Sunday, from 5:30 PM to 9 PM. Guests can enjoy draft beer for $5, as well as select red, rosé, white and sparkling wines for $6, a featured cocktail of the day for $8 along with a new selection of bar snacks, priced from $5 to $10 each. Dishes rotate monthly and are available exclusively in the 31-seat bar and lounge.
New additions to the bar menu this season will include Moules Frites with seasonal broths such as tomato and garlic, and pancetta, fennel, and crème fraiche; house-made Duck Rillettes with pickled onions and grilled baguette and Pork Rillettes with cornichon and rustic bread; house-made Italian Meatballs with tomato-basil sauce and Swedish Meatballs with gravy; Corn Fritters with rotating dipping sauces, such as cranberry-sage remoulade and spicy honey aioli. Seasonal vegetable sides such as Chef’s Signature Ratatouille; Lemon Quinoa with shaved turnips and parsnips, and Pear Onion Tartlets will also available along with autumn soups: Split Pea with Tasso ham; Wild Mushroom with crispy wild rice and Butternut Squash with spiced pepitas. Mountain Pies (also known as Campfire Sandwiches) will return by popular demand with flavors such as apple, fontina and tarragon Dijon and ham, gouda, caramelized onion and frisée. Bar snacks range from $5 to $10 during happy hour, and from $9 to $14 during regular service.
For the perfect pairing, Bar Manager Matthew Wilcox has added new libations to the bar menu with standouts to include The Cayuga, made with rye whiskey, Riesling, grenadine, spiced apple cider, and tarragon; All Over The Map, with sour cherry bitter liquor, pineapple juice, ginger cordial, cherry syrup, chamomile bitters and soda water, and Anjou Can Tell Everybody, with cognac, pear mix, lemon juice, lime juice and Peychaud’s bitters. Cocktails are priced from $13 to $14 each.
