Dirty Habit Welcomes Stephen Arnold as November Artist-in-Residence for Live Music Series, 'Green Room at Hotel Monaco'

Tuesday nights feature acoustic music, global cuisine, and handcrafted cocktails in Penn Quarter

Dirty Habit, in collaboration with Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC welcomes Stephen Arnold, noted composer and one of the DC-area’s most in-demand bassists, for “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” on November 5, 12, 19, and 26. The live music series features outstanding local musicians on Tuesday nights from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Guests can enjoy the show in the hotel’s emerald green living room-style lobby while enjoying bites from Dirty Habit’s Executive Chef Kyoo Eom and cocktails from Beverage Manager Drew Hairston. The series is open to the public and free to attend. Now in its fourth month, the Tuesday evening performances continue to entertain Penn Quarter neighbors, fans heading to the Capital One Arena on game nights, locals looking to catch live music before dinner at Dirty Habit.

Originally from Greenfield, Mass., Arnold is a graduate of George Washington University. In 2018, he was selected to participate in the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. He is known for original compositions that feature a unique blend of folk, rock and jazz, which he performs in his own band, Sea-Change. Fans may know his work from regular performances with groups including the Donvonte’ McCoy Quintet, Alison Crockett, the Samuel Prather Groove Orchestra, the Keith Butler Trio, ¡FIASCO!, the Nik Francis trio, and the New World.


The “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” menu features Dirty Habit favorites such as tuna tataki ($17), American wagyu tartare ($18), and the restaurant’s popular truffle fries ($13.) The bar menu offers a seasonal selection of Dirty Habit’s handcrafted cocktails including the Rice ‘N Roses, DH Old Fashioned, and Negroni ($12-14.)
