Keeping It Cool in July at Olivia with Sangria and Gazpacho & Sandwich Specials

With an exclusive rotating lunch special

During the month of July, Olivia, Knightsbridge Restaurant Group’s charming and rustic Mediterranean eatery located in the heart of the Penn Quarter at 800 F Street, NW, plans to keep it cool as the weather heats up quickly. Pitchers of Sangria are on the menu for the entire month, and guests can look forward to both Red and White varieties, made with seasonal fresh fruits, juices and wines, served over ice. Each pitcher serves up to four guests and is priced at $30, excluding tax and gratuity. Chef Matt Kuhn following suit with summertime “pintxos” to pair perfectly with the refreshing sangria. Standouts include Grilled Halloumi with zhug and Shishito; Jamón with manchego and quince jam, and Crispy Boquerón with piquillo and quail egg all served on a semolina baguette. The pintxos are priced at $4 each.

To cool the palate, Olivia will feature four rotating Gazpacho y Torta specials, including a weekly gazpacho and a half a sandwich on a Seminole baguette with a small Village Salad. During the first week of July, guests can look forward to a Watermelon-Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho with Burrata and Salsa de Tomate Torta; the second week is a Canary Melon-Jalapeño Gazpacho with Jamón Serrano with Harissa Aioli and Shishito Torta; the third week showcases a Virginia Peach & Piquillo Pepper Gazpacho with an Heirloom Tomato, Manchego Crema, Basil Torta and the last week in July features a Cucumber Mint Moroccan Cumin Gazpacho served with a Grilled Moroccan Chicken with Raz Labne and Arugula Torta. The soup and sandwich special is available exclusively Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM and is priced at $16.

Olivia is located in the heart of Penn Quarter at 800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20004. Hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday, from 11:30 AM to 10 PM; Thursday and Friday, from 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM; Saturday, from 5 PM to 11 PM and Sunday, from 11 AM to 9 PM.
