The Beloved Mediterranean Mezze Restaurant Is Expanding from Its Original Dupont Location with First Northern Virginia Outpost
Modern Mediterranean favorite Agora is expanding this spring with a new location in Tysons Corner (7911 Westpark Drive), set to open this June.
The new 4,000-square-foot eatery, featuring a custom brick oven, will be the official Northern Virginia outpost of the original Agora, a delicious and beloved Dupont Circle mainstay for nearly a decade.
The new Agora Tysons will feature a mezzanine level, a 12-seat chef’s bar overlooking the kitchen - helmed by Chef Ghassan Jarrouj - and an authentic charcoal grill.

Located on the ground floor of the stunning Nouvelle building in the heart of Tysons Corner, Agora will offer dinner and late-night menus, with lunch and brunch rolling out later in the year. The exciting new menu will feature a host of Mediterranean favorites such as kibbeh nayeh, grilled octopus, braised short ribs and much more. An extensive beverage program, in collaboration with GMDC Hospitality, will additionally showcase authentic flavors, infusing Raki (a sweetened anise-flavored spirit), rose liqueur, aromatic spices and more in unique craft concoctions. A comprehensive wine and beer list, featuring Mediterranean and local DC-area vineyards and breweries, will also join the beverage menu.
Renowned DC architecture and design brands Urbane Architects and Sorrell Design infused the new Agora with Turkish decor and flair, with rich red and brown hues and ornate touches like intricate basket weave and kaleidoscopic door inlays. In fact, all of the millwork is from Turkey, with patterns and design elements throughout the venue inspired by native art and culture.
“From our authentic charcoal grill to the imported Turkish decor, we are excited to serve up a truly Mediterranean experience at Agora and are thrilled to be bringing our very best to this vibrant corner of northern Virginia,” says Chef Jarrouj.
