Avengers: Endgame Movie Review

Robert Downey Jr. stars in Avengers: Endgame

Just Like That

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos (Josh Brolin) that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to 22 films, "Avengers: Endgame."

Mark Ruffalo's Hulk declares, "These are confusing times." Avengers: Endgame is confusing. It's also charming (at times,) overlong (181 minutes) and sentimental. Casual fans might be bored (warning: lots and lots of talking in the first two hours) but diehard fans will love it, despite (or because of) its oversized roster of familiar costumes/faces, and a bombastic grand finale which looks almost identical to the superior Infinity War. That said, even Captain America (Chris Evans) admits, "You gotta move on," and the Russo brothers do a capable (perhaps even noble) job of wrapping up the beloved Infinity Saga.

Grade: C+
