MXDC Cocina Mexicana Celebrates Cinco de Mayo on May 5

Guests Can Enjoy Five Festive Margaritas, Five Distinctive Tacos & Five Signature Antojitos for $7 Each

Known for its impressive collection of over 100 tequilas, MXDC Cocina Mexicana, the modern Mexican restaurant by Celebrity Chef Todd English, is excited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by offering specials on Saturday, May 5, from 12 PM to 5 PM. Diners can anticipate five festive margaritas, five distinctive tacos and five signature appetizers, priced at $7 each.

Standout tacos include Carne Asada, soy-ginger marinade, pico de gallo, pickled red onion and avocado; Pollo, chile marinade, fajita salsa and avocado; Cochinita Pibil, braised pork shoulder, pickled red onion, cilantro and garlic aioli; Hongos, huitlacoche, wild mushrooms, truffled corn salsa and tomatillo, and Mahi Mahi, Baja beer batter, grilled pineapple chutney and chipotle aioli.  Antojitos include Rockfish Aguachile Ceviche with cucumber, chile pequin, red onion and lime; Guacamole Traditicional with tomato, onion, cilantro and jalapeño; Kabra Quesadilla with goat cheese, Cotija, arugula and smoked chile aioli; Nachos, tortillas, queso mix, pico de gallo, beans and pickled onion and Cuatro Queso Fundido with Oaxaca, Chihuahua, Cotija and queso fresco, served with tortillas.


For the perfect pairing, guests can enjoy a selection of five house-made margaritas including the Margarita de Casa with blanco tequila, MXDC cordial, fresh lime and agave; Margarita de Piña with blanco tequila, fresh lime, house-made roasted pineapple syrup and MXDC cordial; Mango Margarita with blanco tequila, MXDC cordial, mango and lime; Blackberry Cilantro Margarita with blanco tequila, MXDC cordial, house blackberry-cilantro syrup and lime and the Habanero Margarita with blanco tequila, MXDC cordial, habanero, agave and lime.

WHEN: Specials will be available for five hours on Saturday, May 5 from 12 PM to 5 PM. The restaurants dinner service will also be served from 4 PM to 11:30 PM.

WHY: Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguin.  Today, the date is best recognized in the Unites States to celebrate the culture and experiences of Americans of Mexican ancestry.
