BlackSalt to Start Taking Orders November 1st

Today, BlackSalt Restaurant & Fish Market (4883 MacArthur Blvd., NW) will begin taking orders for Fresh Murray’s Turkeys, candied yams and all the fixings of a Thanksgiving dinner along with some Black Restaurant seafood specialties. Pre-order today to take the stress out of the holiday and enjoy more time with family.

Naturally grown in Pennsylvania Amish Country without hormones, antibiotics or preservatives, fresh turkeys can be purchased in small (12-14 lbs), medium (15-18 lbs) and large (19-22 lbs) sizes. Turkeys come oven ready, with the option to have BlackSalt chefs brine, rub with special seasonings, and truss the bird. Leidy’s antibiotic free, premium Pennsylvania, bone-in, spiral cut honey ham is also on the menu for purchase.

Begin Thanksgiving dinner with soup, butternut squash or BlackSalt clam chowder, already shucked oysters and restaurant specialties like house cured salmon with crème fraîche, mini crab cakes and smoked trout salad with crème fraîche, pine nuts and cranberry.

Bread comes in the form of Black’s famous buttery biscuits, cornbread loaves, and French baguette with sage stuffing.

Decadent sides include local candied yams, potato gratin, Southern braised greens with house-smoked bacon, herb roasted ruby beets with shallot vinaigrette and fennel, and cornbread Chincoteague Oyster stuffing.

Finish dinner on a high note with hand crafted pies and artisanal sweets. Chocolate, walnuts and bourbon come together in the Kentucky Derby pie. Other pie options include apple streusel, pecan, pumpkin and key lime. Black Salt also offers house made ice cream, brownies, peanut butter chocolate chip bars, raspberry oatmeal bars, an array of cookies and dark chocolate almond brittle for dessert.

Orders can be placed between 10 AM and 6:30 PM daily beginning November 1 through Sunday, November 19. All orders will be scheduled for pick up on Wednesday, November 22. Amish turkeys are limited in availability. All cancellations require 72 hours notice for a full refund.
