To celebrate the fall season, Sagamore Spirit recently announced that it is launching two limited-time offer whiskey selections under its Sagamore Reserve label: Double Oak and Moscatel Barrel Finish. The releases will be available this week in stores where Sagamore Spirit products are currently sold.

Double Oak is full of flavored whiskey exploding with smooth caramel and dark vanilla notes. Sagamore Spirit’s Straight Rye Whiskey is aged for four years before being placed into wave stave barrels and aged for an additional four months. Wave stave technology is a new and unique process consisting of using barrels with specialized grooves that age the whiskey quicker. The barrels are toasted, never hit with a direct flame, resulting in a high concentration of caramelized sugars. The bottle boasts a rich navy label, highlighting the 96.6 proof whiskey’s radiating amber and warm chestnut color. Sagamore Reserve Double Oak Straight Rye Whiskey will have a suggested retail price of $59.99 per 750 ml bottle.
The bolder of the two, Moscatel Barrel Finished Rye Whiskey, is Sagamore Spirit’s award winning Straight Rye Whiskey aged for 107-110 days in Moscatel fortified wine barrels, sourced from the south of Spain. The Sagamore Spirit distilling team acquired just 20 barrels for this aging process, making this a very exclusive and limited batch. Those enjoying the Moscatel Barrel Finish will delight in the rich fusion of dark fruits such as fig and plum, warm spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg and gentle sweetness. At 101.2 proof, this full-bodied whiskey is perfect for sipping on cold winter nights. Sagamore Reserve Moscatel Barrel Finished Rye Whiskey will have a suggested retail price of $79.99 per 750 ml bottle.
