Danish Shoe Company Brings Stylish, High-Quality Footwear and Leather Accessories to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City

ECCO, a world-leading brand of footwear and leather goods, officially unveiled its newest store, located in the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City on August 12th, 2017. Jake Gamache, ECCO Retail Sales Director, was on hand to cut the ribbon, alongside Gina DiVenuti, ECCO Retail Marketing Specialist. It is the 39th owned and operated full price ECCO store in the U.S.

“ECCO is a family-owned brand built on uncompromising quality, innovative technology and thoughtful design,” said Dave Quel, President at ECCO USA, Inc. “We feel that our partnership with the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City gets us one step closer to our goal of being the leading premium brand for shoes and leather goods.”

The store, which spans about 1,291 sq., features the brand’s updated store design, with modern and minimalist interiors that feature natural oak, slate, stone, stainless steel and yak leather finishes, as well as a nod to Scandinavian style with various design accents. Located near Nordstrom on level two in the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, the new store offers footwear - including outdoor, casual, dress, golf, and sport styles - as well as leather accessories for men and women. Footwear collections to note include:

SOFT 8 - Currently ECCO’s most popular collection for men and women, the stylish and modern SOFT 8 sneaker offers technical features designed to promote comfort with every step, it makes the perfect accessory for casual wear all season, moving effortlessly from summer to autumn.

KINHIN - One of the newest offerings for men and women, the KINHIN sneaker elevates comfort with its CORKSPHERE® Suspended Footbed, a unique feature with cork that conforms to the shape of your foot. Externally, its clean silhouette and minimalist Danish design makes this a stylish and versatile shoe.

SHAPE - This collection of innovative women’s shoes features a unique shank (the supportive structure between the insole and outsole) and an outsole made of PU, creating a lightweight and flexible outsole for better shock absorption. ECCO was the first company on the market to use this technology in heels.

Founded by shoemaker Karl Toosbuy in Denmark in 1963, ECCO footwear has since grown into a global brand with factories and retailers across the world. ECCO manages the entire manufacturing process from start to finish; ECCO designers develop the collections, ECCO owned tanneries produce the leather and ECCO owned factories make the shoes sold across the world. ECCO’s famed tanneries also produce leather for some of the world’s leading performance, lifestyle and fashion companies.
