Safeway Celebrates Fourth of July with Everything One Needs for a Festive Holiday
The Fourth of July is summer’s ultimate holiday and whether at home or the beach, on a picnic or in the backyard, Safeway’s specials will help elevate everyone’s celebration.
Independence Day is the biggest grilling holiday of the year, and Safeway’s meat and seafood departments are featuring a full line of popular grilling items, including USDA choice beef steaks, fresh ground beef including organic, grass fed and Kobe style burger patties, a large variety of hot dogs and grilling sausages, and a wide assortment of shrimp, including both raw and cooked options.
Produce is offering specials on seasonal favorites such as red sweet cherries, white, yellow and bi-color corn on the cob, seedless watermelons, and yellow peaches and nectarines. Safeway’s produce department always offers fresh store-made guacamole, vegetable, fruit and egg platters, bean dip, and fruit luau bowls, tasteful and attractive for any celebration.

Safeway’s deli specials include picnic favorites such as fried chicken, prepacked salads, including coleslaw, potato and macaroni salads, Signature Café American cheese, fresh made Signature Café tortilla chips, and Signature Café half-rack of BBQ ribs.
Holiday grocery offerings feature specials on Tostitos, Doritos and Utz chips, 12-packs of Coca-Cola, Pepsi or Canada Dry, and 32-oz. Gatorade, as well as summer staples, Refreshe 35-pack or Deer Park 24-pack water.
Safeway bakeries present patriotic pastries including red, white and blue fruit tarts, featuring fresh strawberries, whipped cream and blueberries, that add panache to any party. A variety of fruit pies (including apple and cherry), fresh fruit tarts, decorated brownie bites and mini cupcake platters, Boston cream cakes, as well as themed cakes, cupcakes and cookies, are fun accompaniments for any gathering. Additionally, bakery has 99 cent specials on Signature Kitchens hot dog or hamburger buns.
Safeway floral departments are celebrating the red, white and blue, featuring patriotic mums, patriotic rose bouquets, an Americana Bouquet, and Fourth of July balloons.
Safeway’s wine event features buy one get one half off, with over 100 wines to choose from, while holiday beer specials include 24-packs of Budweiser, Miller and Coors. Craft beers are also featured.
Finally, where allowed by law, Safeway carries fireworks, sparklers and holiday noise makers (list follows below.)
