Transformers: The Last Knight Movie Review

Mark Wahlberg stars in Transformers: The Last Knight

Don't Eat Cars

IMDb Plot: Humans and Transformers are at war, and Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Directed by Michael Bay.

So, "this is what the end looks like." Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg are bowing out of the hugely successful Transformers franchise; and if Transformers: The Last Knight is any indication, not a moment too soon. Despite an earnest attempt at acting (such as it is) over special effects, the fifth chapter is shaping up to be a huge disappointment. At least half the movie is unnecessary (characters, scenes, you name it) and the rest? Déjà vu to the nth degree... minus Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and everything that made the first two films so charming. Impressive CGI, little else.

Grade: C-
