Celebrate Independence Day in the Nation's Capital on Rosewood's Newly Enhanced Rooftop Terrace

The Rooftop Bar & Lounge, located on the 6th floor penthouse level of Rosewood Washington D.C. at 1050 31st Street, NW, invites guests to celebrate our nation’s independence with a rooftop BBQ on Tuesday, July 4th. From 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM, neighbors and hotel guests alike are encouraged to stop by the property’s newly enhanced rooftop to enjoy a selection of handcrafted cocktails and classic American fare, while taking in panoramic views of the Potomac River, Kennedy Center, the Washington Monument, and the Capitol’s fireworks display. This special evening is priced at $95 per person and $45 for children 12 and under.

Guests who attend this special evening will receive a complimentary welcome drink upon arrival, along with a Champagne toast during the fireworks display. Additional drinks will be available for purchase at the cash bar, which will offer tempting summer libations including the Rooftop Mojito with mint-infused rum, lime juice, house-infused lime-mint syrup and soda water; Rye Summer Love with Redemption rye, VIDA de San Luis del Rio mezcal, Cynar, lemon juice and grapefruit-lavender syrup, garnished with a grapefruit; Mint Julep, rye, house-infused mint syrup, fresh mint and powdered sugar, and the Rosa Americano with vodka, Aperitivo, lemon juice, honey syrup, orange bitters, garnished with a lime wheel. Cocktails are priced from $14 to $22.


Additionally, the Rooftop Bar & Lounge will be firing up the grill to celebrate America in-style. Guests can expect classic BBQ favorites, grilled-to-order such as the Rooftop Burger, with a choice of cheddar, blue cheese or fontina cheese, bacon and caramelized onions, served on a potato bun with house mayo, fries and a pickle; Barbecue Ribs, and Charred Corn On The Cob. Partygoers will also enjoy a tempting array of passed hors d'oeuvres including Franks in a Blanket; Mini Maryland Crab Cakes; Mini Watermelon Salad, and BBQ Pork Sliders, along with a salad display featuring Burger Toppings; The Grill Room Salad with two dressing options; Croutons; Chips, and Pretzels. For a sweet finish, guests will enjoy Cheesecake Bites with red and blue fresh fruit, and lemon cream; Chocolate Covered Pretzels decorated in red, white & blue; Cupcakes with red, white, and blue buttercream and toppings; Lemon Tartlets, as well as an Ice Cream Bar with waffle cones, three flavors of ice cream, caramel sauce, fudge sauce, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate curls, and crushed peanuts.

The newly enhanced Rooftop Bar & Lounge offers two stationary bars along with wooden high-top cocktail tables with seating, a teak floored sundeck, French bistro-style tables with chairs finished in a washed jade fabric, as well as comfortable sectional sofas. Umbrellas and awnings fans provide relief from the elements when desired, leaving views unimpeded. Seating on the rooftop terrace is available on a first come first serve basis. Additionally, Rosewood Washington D.C. reserves the right to cancel this event within 24 hours; a refund for any advanced ticket deposits will be issued to guests.

The Rooftop Bar & Lounge is a 15-minute walk to the Foggy Bottom/GWU Metro Station accessible on the blue, orange and silver lines. The Rooftop Bar & Lounge is open daily, from 11:30 AM to 12 AM, weather permitting. Lunch is served daily, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM.
