Tax Day, Hawaiian Style

From our friends at Hula Girl Bar & Grill...

Tax Day at Hula Girl

A little Hawaiian comfort food and drink can help

Tax Day is Monday, April 17. Mikala Brennan, chef/owner of Hula Girl Bar & Grill understands how some may feel a little... taxed, so she’s taken to the bar.

In memory of another tax year successfully come to an end, Mikala will personally be behind the bar at Hula Girl serving her beleaguered guests at an extended Happy Hour, from 5-9:00 PM on Tax Day. Should one feel necessary to ‘whine,’ bottles of vintages will be available for $20.

Of course, these fine beverages go well with Hula Girl’s Hawaiian comfort food including SPAM mitsubi; Waialua Root Beer sticky ribs; Kalua pork crispy gau chee; Kalbi, Huli-Huli chicken and more. Might as well eat and drink one’s feelings, and gain some comfort on this Tax Day where one can.

Hula girl is located in the Village at Shirlington, 4044 Campbell Avenue. The restaurant is open Sunday and Monday from 11:30 am to 9 pm; Tuesday-Thursday from 11:30 AM -10 PM and Saturday from 11:30 AM -11 PM. Live Ukulele music on Wednesdays and Sundays. For reservations and further information, call (703) 998-4853 or www.hulagirlbarandgrill.com.
