Bastille Presents "Sunday Sippers"

From our friends at Bastille Restaurant & Wine Bar...

Why Just Sup When You Can Sip?

Sunday, Funday. It’s become an end-of-the-weekend mantra. Chef/owners of Bastille, Christophe and Michelle Poteaux, have put a special Sunday wine list with bottles for only $20 - served from 4-9:00 PM every Sunday.

Initial $20 per bottle offerings include great wines such as Bubbles - Airen, Pierre Olivier, Brut Vin Mousseux NV; Le Brun Cidres, Cidre de Bretagne Brut NV; Pinot Noir, Cricova, Rosé NV (demi-sec); Rosé - Cinsault, Montgravet, Vin de Pays d'Oc Rosé 2016; Merlot/Grenache/Syrah, Château Jouclary, Cabardès Languedoc 2016; Blanc - Sauvignon Blanc, Pierre Henri, Vin de Pays d'Oc 2015; Chardonnay, Domaine Trois Freres, Vin de Pays du Jardin de la France 2015 and Rouge - Grenache Blend, Chateau de Vaugelas, “Le Prieuré”, Corbières 2014; Merlot/Grenache/Syrah,  Château Jouclary, Cabardès Languedoc 2015; and Merlot, Château des Arnauds, Bordeaux 2015.

Sunday dinners will feature Bastille’s April in Paris menu, which celebrates the diverse peoples and cultures of France. A large selection of a la carte dishes are available as well as a three-course or four-course bistro menu ($39 and $49 respectively.) For more than a millennium of France’s modern history, the country has been a land of immigration. From the Romans, Franks, Goths, Vikings, Moors... to the more recent integration of people from the former French Colonial Empire (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Sub-Sahel Africa, Lebanon, Indochina, Caribbean and Pacific Islands) and the current European Union countries, France has benefitted of this rich melting pot of populations and cultures.

Bastille is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 AM until 10 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM until 9 PM serving brunch, lunch, dinner and all day dining with café and bar menu offered. The restaurant is located in The Asher at 606 N. Fayette Street in Alexandria, Virginia, just two blocks from the Braddock Metro. For reservations and further information, log into or call (703) 519-3776.
