Warcraft Movie Review

Robert Kazinsky stars in Warcraft

The Runt of the Litter Summer

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: Legendary Pictures' Warcraft, a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment's globally-renowned universe, is directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and is written by Charles Leavitt and rewritten by Jones. The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Alex Gartner. Stuart Fenegan, Jillian Share and Brent O'Connor serve as executive producers. Blizzard's Chris Metzen co-produces.

You could see this (stinker) coming from a mile away. Warcraft had no business making the jump from the internet to the big screen (it's literally bleeding subscribers) yet alone for a whopping $160 million + marketing. To be fair, I've never played the game; but I've seen all six chapters of The Hobbit/LOTR, and Warcraft doesn't hold a candle to any of them. The special effects are laughably bad; and the acting (particularly Dominic Cooper & Ben Foster) downright embarrassing. I split after half an hour, so there's a (fat) chance it got better. Hopefully, you won't find out.
