Now You See Me 2 Movie Review

Morgan Freeman stars in Now You See Me 2

Time to Disappear

Rotten Tomatoes Plot: The Four Horsemen (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan) return for a second mind-bending adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public's adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe), a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all. Directed by Jon M. Chu. Co-stars Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo.

Ruffalo warns, "I burned you once. I'll burn you again. He wasn't bluffing. Now You See Me 2 is pretty awful... a poor man's combination of Mission: Impossible and Oceans Eleven, without any of the good parts. The first one stunk too, but made a boatload of money. If this one breaks even, I'd be disappointed/shocked. It's shot well; but the acting (outside of Freeman and maybe Radcliffe) is lousy, especially the aforementioned Ruffalo who must think he's still on the set of Spotlight. Radcliffe declares, "You may not be having fun, but I am." He's the only one.
