Texas Jack's Barbecue to Debut Weekday Lunch Service on Monday, February 1st
Partners Steve Roberts and Paul Capetanakis are pleased to announce that Texas Jacks Barbecue, located within the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, at 2761 Washington Blvd. will launch weekday lunch service on Monday, February 1st. Lunch will be served Monday through Friday, from 11 AM to 3 PM in the main dining room, which also features eight counter seats overlooking the open kitchen. Guests can anticipate Texas Jack’s a la carte menu with showcases tender smoked meats served by the pound such as Allen Bros. Choice Beef Brisket; Nature’s Choice Duroc Pulled Pork Shoulder; Allen Bros. Choice Beef Short Rib; Nature’s Choice Duroc St. Louis-Style Spare Ribs; Freebird Chicken and Meatcrafters Duroc Habañero Charro Sausage, paired with their popular Trail Bites such as ’87 Cutlass Supreme Nachos; Chips with queso or guacamole French Fries; Esquites, pan-fried corn with mayo, cotija cheese, cilantro and jalapeño; Mixed Green Salad with roasted shallot vinaigrette, pickled shallots and spiced almonds; Raw Carrot Salad with orange juice, lemon juice, coriander, cilantro, pumpkin seeds and candied orange zest; Fried Potatoes with warm bacon vinaigrette; Smashed Cucumber Salad with Greek yogurt, lime and jalapeño honey; Crispy Brussels Sprouts with lemon juice, olive oil and parmesan; Coleslaw with green chiles, cilantro, red onion and cotija cheese; Risotto with porky pinto beans as well as Kale Caesar Salad, Tuscan kale, house-made Caesar, fried capers and parmigiano reggiano. Smoked meats range in price from $18/lb. to $31/lb. A la carte sides range in price from $3 to $11.

Additionally, Executive Chef Matt Lang has added a selection of combination platters to the lunch menu portioned to feed two or four guests. The Medley for Two features a 1/3 Pound of Brisket, ¼ of a Chicken, Two Duroc St. Louis-Style Spare Ribs and One Meatcrafters Duroc Habañero Charro Sausage Link priced at $30 (excluding tax and gratuity), while the Medley for Four features a 1/2 Pound of Brisket, 1/2 of a Chicken, Four Duroc St. Louis-Style Spare Ribs and One Meatcrafters Duroc Habañero Charro Sausage Link, which is priced at $60 (excluding tax and gratuity). Sides will be available at an additional price. Guests will also be able to order a combination platter for 10 to be enjoyed at the restaurant, or to pick up and take back to the office. This includes Two Pounds of Brisket, Two Pounds of Pulled Pork, Two Chickens, Five Large Sides and One Gallon of Iced Tea or Lemonade for $185.
A selection of “Lunchin’ Combos” and Sandwich Combination Platters will also be available, exclusively during lunch service. Lunchin’ Combos include 1/3 Pound of Brisket for $13.75; 1/3 Pound of Nature’s Choice Duroc Pulled Pork Shoulder for $12.50; 1/4 Freebird Chicken for $11.50, or Two Nature’s Choice Duroc St. Louis-Style Spare Ribs for $15. Each combination platter will be served with a choice of small side (excludes kale salad and chips with guacamole or queso) along with tea, lemonade or a soft drink. Sandwich combination platters include the All-American Double Cheeseburger for $10; Fried Chicken Sandwich, FreeBird chicken breast soaked in buttermilk and hot sauce, deep fried with a vinegary, spicy cayenne sauce for $13; Brisket Sandwich with quick-fried red onion and queso for $12, and Pulled Pork Sandwich for $10. All sandwiches will be served with French fries or mixed greens salad and a choice of iced tea, lemonade or soft drink.
Texas Jack’s Barbecue is located at 2761 Washington Blvd., Arlington, Virginia 22201. The restaurant is located five blocks from the Clarendon Metro, accessible on the Orange and Silver lines. Dinner is served Monday through Sunday, from 4 PM to 2 AM. The kitchen closes at 1 AM, one hour before bar closure. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday, from 11 AM to 3 PM.
