Day two of the fifth annual
Taste of DC managed to do the impossible... it matched Saturday's opening day, person for person and
taste for taste (not to mention rays of sunshine.) Washingtonians returned to Pennsylvania Avenue in droves, feasting on a wide array of delicious bites, libations and great music/fun. Combined with the annual
Safeway Barbecue Battle, it's safe to say DC has officially become a food festival mecca. Bon appétit!

Rí Rá Irish Pub: Picture this: Ale-battered Atlantic cod with hand cut chips (AKA fries) and tartar sauce on the side... for just
three bucks! Rí Rá Georgetown's signature tasting item may have been my
only bite of the day; but odds are, it would have trumped any other offering in terms of taste and value. Flaky cod? Check. Generous portion? Check. Salty,
authentic chips? Check, check. Wrap this sucker in newspaper, and I'd swear I was back on Dublin's Grafton Street.
