Celebrated dance company brings vibrant Siberian culture to Strathmore
From the foothills of the Sayan Mountains to the icy Kara Sea and majestic Yenisei River, the vast landscape of Siberia, its people, and culture come alive when the Krasnoyarsk Dance Company of Siberia performs in the Music Center at Strathmore on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 4 PM. In a sweeping show of 15 choreographed dances with everything from leaping Cossack soldiers to brightly-clad peasants performing folk dances drawn from centuries of tradition, “... the dancers, who seemed to number in the hundreds in full-company pieces, were charmingly wholehearted and skillful.
