As reported by the Washingtonian and Washington Post, get ready for Ivy City Gin from One Eight Distilling! Beginning with the Official Release Party on Friday, June 12th (and continuing with Distillery Tours & Tastings on Saturday, June 13th), Ivy City Gin will be sold at the distillery and at participating Washington, D.C. retailers beginning this weekend, followed by distribution to area bars and restaurants later in June. Plus, look for One Eight Distilling as the official liquor sponsor of the CapitalBop D.C. Jazz Loft Series in Ivy City this weekend, as part of the D.C. Jazz Festival. Get ready to savor this American dry gin distilled from locally-sourced grains (63% rye, 26% corn, and 11% malted rye), with forward notes of Juniper and Spicebush, and a subtle bouquet of 8 additional botanicals. As part of its ongoing commitment to the Ward 5 community, One Eight Distilling will donate $1 from every bottle sold in D.C. this year to Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. in support of ongoing projects in Ivy City.
LIMITED TICKETS REMAIN! One Eight Distilling invites you to the Official Release Party to celebrate Ivy City Gin, “100 Bottles of Gin on the Wall,” at the distillery on Friday, June 12th from 6-8 PM. Tickets ($50) include two signature cocktails and a signed bottle. Clink glasses with live jazz and exquisite cocktail creations from guest bartenders David Fritzler and Daniel McCombie, beverage maestros at Tryst Restaurant Group. BE AMONG THE FIRST! Come and get your hands on a bottle of the first batch of Ivy City Gin, during our public tour and tasting hours at the distillery on Saturday, June 13th from 1-4 PM. Enjoy a free taste of our spirits, behind-the-scenes tours of our facility, and buy directly from the distillery, including bottles of Ivy City Gin and a commemorative ring-spun Ivy City ringer t-shirt. Swizzler food truck will be on hand with tasty wares, and we'll mark the occasion with a specially-priced Ivy City Gin cocktail. No tickets/reservations necessary.
