This popular restaurant offers guests an express lunch featuring four different bento box options prepared by Chef De Cuisine Jason Streiff. The boxes are featured Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and can be enjoyed at the restaurant or taken to go.
Zengo's Express lunch features the #1 Entree Bento Box, priced at $15.50, which includes a choice of Tandoori Chicken with achiote marsala marinade; Crispy Catfish with Chinese black bean and sweet chile sauce; Crispy Tofu lemon togarashi aioli and sweet chile sauce, or the Rotating Special, which includes the chef’s entrée of the day, wok tossed vegetables and vegetable fried rice. The #2 Sandwich Bento Box, priced at $13.50, includes a choice of Grilled Chicken Torta with achiote marinated chicken, guacamole black bean puree, pickled onion and lettuce, or Crispy Catfish Sandwich with aji amarillo tartar sauce, lettuce and tomato, accompanied with fries or green salad. The #3 Dim Sum Bento Box, priced at $13.50 includes a choice of two Thai Chicken Empanadas with chile poblano, Oaxaca cheese and mango curry salsa, or two Achiote Pork Arepas, corn masa with avocado and crema fresca, served with miso soup and vegetable fried rice. Toro Toro, located at 1300 I Street, NW, 20005, offers an On-the-Run Executive Express Lunch Monday through Friday, from 11 AM to 3 PM. Chef de Cuisine Felipe Milanes' lunch option is priced at $15 or $23 per person (tax and gratuity not included), and includes the choice of a soft drink, iced tea or lemonade. For $15, guests can enjoy a lunch buffet that features Toro Toro's signature dishes, and for $23 per person, guests can indulge in a lavish rotating menu of the Chef’s Daily Selections along with a selection of carved meats.
