Brand New Menu/Concept as TJ Fisher Joins Noelia as Executive Chef

From our friends at Noelia...

The former Noelia Italian Kitchen will transition to Noelia, a contemporary American restaurant with a brand new menu at the end of April. Restaurant owners Kaiser and Faisel Gill have appointed T.J. Fisher as Executive Chef.

The name ‘Noelia’ means ‘rejuvenation.’ In the sense of this and as it relates to Chef Fisher’s contemporary take on classic dishes, this is an apt transition for the restaurant.

Chef Fisher’s brand new menu at Noelia will reflect contemporary American cuisine with price points from $9 to $24 at lunch and $6 - $30 at dinner. Offerings will include a variety of small plates, salads, entrees, sides and desserts. Small plates include roasted bone marrow with Sweet Garlic, Peppery Radish and Fried Shallot; a vegetarian “Charcuterie” Board featuring Assorted Pickled and Grilled Vegetables and Herbed Ricotta and Duck Confit ‘sliders’ with Fresh Buttermilk Biscuits, Crisp Granny Smith Apple-Daikon Slaw, Pistachio, and Farmers Market Jam. Entrees options include Malt Braised Short Rib with Beet Infused Potatoes with Truffle and Thyme, Rainbow Carrots, and Malted Cola Lacquer; Grilled Hamachi with Fingerling Potatoes, Charred Spring Onion and Lemon Oil; Farro Risotto with Fennel, Charred Corn, Dinosaur Kale, Dried Cranberry, and Parmesan; and Chicken in Waffles - Crispy Buttermilk Brined Chicken, Belgium Waffles and Picante Vermont Maple Butter. Homemade desserts like Fresh Doughnuts with European Cookie Glaze; Corn and Blackberry Cheese Cake with Cinnamon Graham Crust and a variety of ice creams and sorbets to name a few.

The restaurant’s new Happy Hour Menu features small plates including Duck Confit Sliders on Buttermilk Biscuits with Crisp Apple and Daikon Slaw and Pistachio, Farmers Market Jam; Fried Chicken and Waffle Sandwich with Picante Vermont Maple Butter; Whipped Ricotta Flat Bread with Soppresatta, Olive Relish, Grape Tomatoes, Arugula Toss and Julienne Shallot, and more.

A native of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Chef Fisher’s interest in cooking and baking began with his culinary pursuits alongside his grandmother, and receiving his first cookbook at the age of 7. At 14, he was already cooking professionally, which eventually led him to Le Cordon Bleu in Pittsburgh, PA, where he graduated at the top of his class. After his graduation, Chef Fisher lent his skills to the kitchens of The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner and the proceeded to open 4 restaurants, including The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay and The Gaylord National, as well as a gastropub in Dallas, Texas. He then returned to Tysons Corner where he worked with premier catering company, RSVP. Chef Fisher went on to serve as Executive Chef at two of the area’s finest country clubs, Osprey’s landing and most recently Dominion Valley Country Club.

Noelia is located at 1319 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004. The restaurant is open for lunch weekdays from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM; dinner Monday - Thursday 5-10 PM, and 5-11 PM on Friday & Saturday. For reservations and further information, call 202-347-1020 or log into www.noeliadc.com.
