From our friends at Kelly's Irish Times...
DC's Top Spot for Celebrating St. Patrick's Day
St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner and Kelly’s Irish Times will be your best bet for an authentic and fun-filled Irish experience this weekend. The iconic establishment is known all over the world not only for being one of the most celebrated Irish Pub’s in America, but for its famous wall, which boasts over 100+ years of history. Memorabilia like Dublin Police Patches from the 1930's, one-of-a-kind unopened beer bottles from the 1800s, antique galvanized ice buckets from Glasgow, torn Redskins Superbowl tickets, Sonny Jurgensen autographs and a multitude of celebrity/politician what-nots. Kelly’s offers patrons the perfect balance of quaint Irish hospitality and a fun (sometimes boisterous) atmosphere, Kelly's, which was chosen as one of Esquire Magazine’s Best Bars in America in 2014, has also been named as one of the country’s top 10 Irish pubs by USA Today, Gayot.com and MSN.com.
The celebration starts early on Saturday, March 14th with the doors opening (and party starting) at 10:00 AM. Having just recently unveiled their brand new whiskey bar, Kelly’s will be offering an even more extensive list of Irish whiskeys than in years past plus a large selection of draft beers. The kitchen will be serving up regional classics like Guinness Irish Stew and Corned Beef & Cabbage. The Capital Hill bar will continue their tradition of forgoing the holiday cover charge that has become common among the city’s other venues on St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
Kelly’s Irish Times is located at 14 F Street, NW in Washington DC. For more information call (202) 543-5433 or visit them online at www.kellysirishtimesdc.com
