Celebrate RAMW's Winter Restaurant Week with Prix-Fixe Menus, Instagram Contests and More!

From our friends at the RAMW...

Winter Restaurant Week menus and new special promotions are now live on the official Restaurant Week website. The bi-annual celebration of the DMV’s thriving culinary scene starts Monday, January 19 and continues through Sunday, January 25 when over 240 of the region’s finest dining destinations will offer a three-course prix-fixe dinner ($35.15) and/or three-course prix-fixe lunch ($20.15) menu for diners to explore and enjoy.

New this year, RAMW is enticing restaurant-goers to get social with their Restaurant Week experiences with a 7 Days/ 7 Winners social media contest. Diners are encouraged to snap and post envy inspiring pictures to their Instagram accounts while out at participating restaurants. Diners who follow RAMW on Instagram (@RAMWdc) and use the hashtag #DMVWRW and tag the participating restaurant will automatically be eligible to win a number of fantastic prizes including roller derby tickets, brunch gift certificates, cookbooks and a grand prize of two tickets to the 33rd annual RAMMY Awards and Gala, taking place on Sunday, June 7 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Winter Restaurant Week sponsor True Aussie Lamb is also hosting a photography contest for diners this year. Diners that upload a picture of a participating restaurant’s featured Australian lamb dish to Instagram using the hashtag #AussieLambDC will be eligible to win exciting prizes. Arlington’s Moroccan Mediterranean hotspot, Mazagan Restaurant, the Atlas District’s Smith Commons and Graffiato in Penn Quarter are among participating restaurants offering True Aussie lamb dishes on their Restaurant Week menus.

Area chefs have assembled exclusive menus of all types of cuisine. First time participants include Chef Jose Andres’s latest addition to DC’s Penn Quarter, China Chilcano, Chef Jeff Black’s newest addition in Maryland, Republic, and Chef Tim Ma’s eclectic Water & Wall in Northern Virginia. Even outstanding staples in Northern Virginia like the innovative Trummer’s on Main will offer dinner menus this Restaurant Week. Chef Wolfgang Puck’s Asian-fusion restaurant, The Source, is offering both lunch and dinner menus for the first time during the promotion, as is the already popular seafood and steak house, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle.

Diners need not worry about the hassle of looking for parking near their desired dining destinations thanks to Restaurant Week’s new partner, Parking Panda. The preferred parking reservation service will allow diners to have a parking spot waiting upon arrival of the visiting restaurant simply by making a parking reservation when booking a table on the Restaurant Week website.
