Award-Winning Event Production Company to Produce and Enhance Washington D.C.’s Annual ShamrockFest Tradition

Red Frog Events has reached an agreement with GoCity Events to purchase Washington D.C.’s successful ShamrockFest and will produce the event starting in 2015.

As the largest St. Patrick’s Day festival in the United States, ShamrockFest features multiple stages with 30 artists, along with an Irish village with vendors, games, food, beer, and more.

“Red Frog Events has an impressive track record of producing quality events and experiences,” says Mike Harrigan of GoCity Events. “I’m confident they’ll take ShamrockFest and enhance the St. Patrick’s Day experience we built more than a decade ago.”

“When Mike asked if we’d be interested in purchasing ShamrockFest, it didn’t take long for us to determine it was a great opportunity,” said Ryan Kunkel, Co-CEO of Red Frog Events. “We continually look at opportunities to add to our portfolio of brands, whether we’re creating them internally, innovating on existing concepts, or acquiring established brands that we can continue to build upon. ShamrockFest fit that bill nicely.”

Red Frog Events has been producing innovative brands since 2007. The company pioneered the experiential entertainment industry with its obstacle racing series, Warrior Dash, and in 2012 founded Firefly Music Festival, one of the largest and fastest growing music festivals in the country. Red Frog Events conceptualizes and produces its own festivals, races, and events, in addition to working with business owners to assist in driving greater success for their companies. These services include providing ticketing and registration, staffing, investment, and acquisitions.

ShamrockFest will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at RFK Stadium Festival Grounds in Washington D.C. Tickets will go on sale in early 2015 at through the ticketing platform EventSprout. For more information on ShamrockFest visit, or for Red Frog Events go to
