“It is very exciting to have a truly iconic figure in the music world join us in December. It will be a wonderful treat for the audience. Rolling Stone says few singers blend grit and grandeur like Jimmy Webb… [his] voice is like an old Mustang heading through a treacherous yet often gorgeous landscape,” said Rick Brown, Bethesda Blues & Jazz Owner.

Bethesda, MD – December 2, 2014 – Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club (Bethesda Blues and Jazz) is proud to host a Frank Sinatra Birthday Musical Tribute starring Tony Sands on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 8:00 PM. Sands’ multimedia solo show, “It Was a Very Good Year,” is an absolute must-see for any Sinatra fan.

Combining video, stunning graphics and projections, Sands narrates Sinatra’s story taking  the audience through six career points of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ lifetime. The show travels from Sinatra's early days with Tommy Dorsey’s Big Band to the bright lights of New York City and his comeback at the “Main Event” at Madison Square Garden.  It’s as if Sinatra walked off the screen and on to the stage to perform.

“We are thrilled to have Tony Sands perform his incredible Frank Sinatra tribute the day before what would have been Sinatra’s 99th birthday and to continue to share and reveal Sinatra’s astounding career for generations and generations.” said Rick Brown, Bethesda Blues & Jazz Owner.
