Thanksgiving Festivities & Dinner Options by Executive Chef David Fritsche
Café Dupont and Bar Dupont at The Dupont Circle Hotel give patrons a few more reasons to be thankful this Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, November 26 and Thursday, November 27, locals and visitors are invited to celebrate with festive holiday specials, events, menus, and to-go options.
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Bar Dupont will feature live music and extended happy hour specials from 5-10 PM, providing a nice respite from turkey brining and family time. In true Turkey Day tradition, Thursday kicks off with breakfast from 6:30-11:30 AM and screenings of the Macy's Day Parade and NFL games at Café Dupont and Bar Dupont.
For the main event, Executive Chef David Fritsche has created a prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu featuring a choice of seasonal appetizer, entrée with family-style sides, and dessert for $55 per person. Appetizer options include arugula salad with pumpkin vinaigrette, butternut squash soup, or faro salad with duck leg confit. Guests can opt for traditional roasted turkey or less traditional but equally delicious, whole prime rib, pistachio crusted red snapper, or pineapple and orange glazed ham. Each entrée comes with all of the proper Thanksgiving sides like cranberry sauce, mashed sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, butter biscuits, sage corn bread stuffing, and buttered green beans served family style. Fall-inspired desserts like pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and apple strudel served with house-made ice cream round out the ultimate harvest feast. Thanksgiving menu and regular menus are available from 11:30 AM until closing at Café Dupont and Bar Dupont.
New this year, Café Dupont will offer Turkey-to-Go, a Thanksgiving miracle for guests looking to enjoy the same mouthwatering prix-fixe menu ($55 per person), in the comfort of their own homes. Pumpkin and pecan pies are also on sale separately for $25 each. All orders must be made 72 hours in advance of pick-up.
