See Kevin Spacey in Concert... On My Birthday!

It's not often that a sitting president performs live in the nation's capital (insert joke here.) Before you start jumping to conclusions (it's not Barack Obama) I'm referring to the best TV show on television Netflix's House of Cards and its President, Frank Underwood. Technically, it's not Francis either (wouldn't that be cool?) but the man who portrays him with devilish delight... two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey.

Spacey returns to DC, to perform an exclusive one-night-only concert, September 29th at Sidney Harman Hall before a who's who of DC insiders and possibly you. Tickets to the show cost $100 and are available online (click here.) An elegant cocktail reception/supper (for contributors and sponsors) will follow at nearby Poste at the Hotel MonacoClick here to learn more about the concert; as well as the Kevin Spacey Foundation. The concert will feature many standards from the swing era, and several classics from the Great American Songbook.

I can't think of a better way to spend a Monday night in DC, can you? You weren't really going to watch the Chiefs vs. Patriots, were you? Not only is Spacey one of the finest actors alive (top five, in my opinion) he's an incredible showman, who has the rare ability to captivate an audience by song or storytelling: Did you know he used to perform stand-up comedy while at Juilliard, way back when?

Adrienne Arsht serves as Chair, along with Honorary Chairs - Representatives Kevin McCarthy and Steny Hoyer. The concert starts at 7:00 PM.

You have to love a star who doesn't take himself too seriously (see below.)
