Smith & Wollensky DC Celebrates 15 Years with Unveil of Happy Hour Specials and "Restaurant Month"
Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group (SWRG) celebrates the 15th anniversary of its opening in the heart of downtown DC with the introduction of a new management team and culinary talent, as well as the addition of several fresh menu offerings and limited-time summer specials. Smith & Wollensky is pleased to unveil a new mainstay Happy Hour Menu featuring half-price appetizers and drink specials from the bar menu, available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the patio or in the restaurant, perfect for winding down after the work day. Offered for under $10 each, featured Happy Hour appetizers include shareable portions of the popular Steak Tartare, Rib Eye Carpaccio, Fritto Misto, Buffalo Fried Oysters, Wollensky’s Sliders and Flatbreads. Beverage offerings include $5 local craft brews on draft and $9 Smith & Wollensky “Private Reserve” wines by the glass.
Smith & Wollensky will also celebrate RAMW Restaurant Week through the entire month of August, offering three-course prix fixe Dinner ($35.14) and Lunch ($20.14) menus featuring guest favorites such as Oscar Style Filet Mignon, Filet Rossini, Pan Seared Salmon, Wollensky’s Butcher Burger and the famous Gigantic Chocolate Cake. Smith & Wollensky “Restaurant Month” reservations are recommended.
New Management Team:
Smith & Wollensky, Washington DC celebrates its 15th anniversary with a new management team, bringing fresh perspective and personality to guests of the iconic steakhouse. The 19th Street location is now under the helm of DC area hospitality veteran Ned Mirkovic as General Manager along with the culinary talent of Chef Jim Zambito and event expertise of Private Event Manager Lila Dougly. With its new team in place, the company plans to deliver the impeccable fine dining and event experiences it is acclaimed for in DC, while deepening community ties and building new relationships with resident and traveling guest communities.

In addition to newly unveiled Happy Hour specials, Smith & Wollensky is giving even more reasons to visit this summer. Available for a limited time is the “Summer’s Calling” Wine and Appetizer Pairing, in which guests can enjoy a complimentary appetizer when they order any two glasses of The CALLING wine. Featured wines include the 2012 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir or 2012 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay with complimentary appetizer pairings of Tuna Tartare or Rib Eye Carpaccio.
For those who are firing up the grill and hosting barbecues this summer, Smith & Wollensky has all the elements for grilling and serving great steaks at home. With Prime Steaks Online, customers can order USDA Prime, 28-day dry-aged steaks to be shipped overnight. Steaks are available in a variety of cuts and quantities and are delivered fresh, never frozen at customers’ preferred delivery location and date. Once their steaks have arrived, customers can check out Smith & Wollensky’s grilling tips and steak recipes for preparing the ultimate steak barbecues and dinner parties this season.
