"Better Burger" Restaurant Opening Eighth DC Metropolitan Area Location in Gaithersburg, Maryland

The new spot will serve its signature juicy patties – smashed fresh, served delicious – along with its Haagen-Dazs shakes, tempting sides and regional menu items crafted to please local's palates in this burgeoning region.
Smashburger Gaithersburg will show off a sleek, urban design with 75 seats and custom murals that pay homage to the people and signature landmarks of the area, as well as an exclusive menu of regional items crafted to please local palates. The exclusive menu, created with local flavors and tastes in mind, will include standout recipes like the Truffle Mushroom Swiss with truffle mayo, sautéed baby crimini mushrooms and aged Swiss on an egg bun and Spicy Baja, packed full of punch with fresh jalapeños, guacamole, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onion and chipotle mayo on a spicy chipotle bun. Guests can also savor every bite of the Capital Burger or Capital Chicken Sandwich, served solely in the DC metropolitan area and topped with grilled onions, aged Swiss cheese, baby arugula, applewood-smoked bacon, tomatoes and mayo on a brioche bun.

At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. Starting with 100-percent—fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef, the burger is smashed on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, the delectable burgers are served on toasted artisan buns and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses and highest-quality condiments available.
Smashburger's signature recipes and create your own burgers are smashed fresh, served delicious every time. More than just burgers, customers can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled chicken sandwiches and fresh tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides including Veggie Frites, which are flash-fried and seasoned carrot sticks and green beans, Haystack Onions and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries.
