It's impossible to tire of freebies, good barbecue and tons of smiling faces. That was the setting for the 22nd annual Safeway Barbecue Battle, which concluded yesterday with a smörgåsbord of fun along Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Huge crowds were on hand for great music (including go-go legends Rare Essence) and delicious food, spurred on by even better weather (no rain!) We can't wait for next year's #23!
